Millenium Development Goals data

What type of information can you access?
Goals agreed as a framework for measuring development progress, following the Millenium Summit in September 2000 with the states of the United Nations, can be consulted by topic. Under each goal, you can find short analyses, charts, maps, and related research (general studies, topical papers, country studies), as well as charts by region/country.
E.g. under Environment, charts on access to safe water, on protected land area, on map on per capita emission of carbon dioxide.

The list of the seven topics include:
Goal 1: Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger; Goal 2: Achieve Universal Primary Education; Goal 3: Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women; Goal 4: Reduce Child Mortality; Goal 5: Improve Maternal Health; Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and other Diseases; Goal 7: Ensure Environmental Sustainability; Goal 8: Development a Global Partnership for Development.
